The edges are a bit chipped, but the face and back are in pretty good condition. It is a little tarnished as well.
Got it in change from the store the other day.

Found this 1944 Mercury Dime at a School yard in town with my Tesoro Tejon 4 to 5 inches deep.

I have a 1942 mercury dime and would like to know if it is a 1942/1-d or 1942/1 coin. First i would like you to explain why they are valuable. Then how i can tell the difference. Thank you for answering.
